The Owen Cup returns to Ames

For the fourth time since 1984, the prestigious Frederick B. Owen Cup for academic excellence has returned to the Alpha Iota Chapter. The Cup was presented to the Alpha Iota delegation at this year's Ekklesia in Boston. Since the implementation of the current successful academic plan the Chapter's overall GPA increased from 2.88 to 3.22; an increase of 0.34 of a grade point.

Named after Frederick B. Owen (Missouri 1903) The Cup is awarded to the undergraduate Chapter that has shown the greatest improvement in scholarship over the preceding academic year.
